Your right to compensation under EU 261/2004

Regulation EU 261/2004 gives you the right to compensation if your flight was delayed, cancelled, you missed a connection, or you were a victim of denied boarding. It applies to flights departing from the EU and also to flights into the EU on European carriers.

Delta Airlines compensation for a delayed flight

If you flew with Delta Airlines and your flight was delayed by 3 hours or more, you can be entitled to financial compensation. Check that the delay wasn’t caused by extraordinary circumstances — severe weather or unforeseeable events.

Delta Airlines compensation for a cancelled flight

If your Delta Airlines flight was cancelled less than 14 days before the planned departure, you can be entitled to compensation under EU 261/2004 of up to €600.
