Your right to compensation under EU 261/2004

EU 261/2004 protects passengers when air travel goes sideways. If your Vueling flight was delayed, cancelled, or you faced denied boarding, you may be entitled to financial compensation of up to €600. The rules cover all flights departing from the EU and flights into the EU on European carriers — a basic right every passenger has.

Vueling compensation for a delayed flight

If you flew with Vueling and your flight was delayed by more than three hours, you may be entitled to compensation. The delay is measured at arrival, not at departure. You can contact Vueling directly, or check your claim with Refundio — save yourself the time and energy of chasing the airline.

Vueling compensation for a cancelled flight

A cancellation doesn’t have to mean a financial loss. If Vueling cancels your flight and tells you less than 14 days before departure, you can claim compensation. If the cancellation is down to a technical fault with the aircraft, you’re entitled to compensation.

How much compensation am I entitled to?

Flight distanceCompensation per passenger
Up to 1,500 km (e.g. Prague – Barcelona)€250
1,500–3,500 km€400
Over 3,500 km (e.g. Prague – New York)€600

When you’re not entitled to compensation

You’re not entitled when the flight wasn’t cancelled or delayed because of extraordinary circumstances — bad weather, safety risks, political unrest. Airlines have a duty to tell passengers the real reason for any delay or cancellation.

How to claim compensation from Vueling

You can try it yourself through the Vueling website, or hand it to Refundio. Fill in the form and we handle the rest. You only pay us if we actually recover the compensation — nothing to lose.

What if the airline rejects the claim?

If Vueling rejects your claim, don’t give up. Contact Refundio — we’ll work out whether you really are entitled, and if you are, we’ll act for you. Our team knows every trick airlines pull to refuse a claim, and we know how to beat them.
