Your right to compensation under EU 261/2004
EU 261/2004 is your personal bodyguard in air travel. If your flight ends up delayed, cancelled, or you face denied boarding, you’re entitled to financial compensation of up to €600. The rules cover flights departing from the EU and flights into the EU operated by European carriers.
World2Fly compensation for a delayed flight
If you flew with World2Fly and your flight was delayed by more than three hours, you may be entitled to compensation. Worth checking whether the delay was actually caused by extraordinary circumstances outside the airline’s control.
World2Fly compensation for a cancelled flight
If World2Fly cancels your flight and tells you less than 14 days before departure, you’re entitled to compensation. The airline has a duty to offer you a rerouting or a refund.
How much compensation am I entitled to?
| Flight distance | Compensation per passenger |
|---|---|
| Up to 1,500 km (e.g. Prague – Paris) | €250 |
| 1,500–3,500 km (e.g. Prague – Madeira) | €400 |
| Over 3,500 km (e.g. Prague – New York) | €600 |
When you’re not entitled to compensation
You’re entitled when a World2Fly flight is delayed, cancelled, or overbooked. You’re not entitled when the delay or cancellation was caused by extraordinary circumstances (bad weather, strikes), or when you were told about the cancellation more than 14 days in advance.
